The Year 10 camp expedition program is set in some of the most beautiful areas of Australia. The students are removed from the influences of the modern world as much as possible and the course is designed to challenge and inspire the students across a full range of outdoor experiences. The learning experiences presented to the students throughout the program focus on developing the skills of collaboration, resilience, confidence and critical thinking. The experience is a pinnacle moment for many students and has been seen as a stepping-stone towards future outdoor education co curricular programs provided by the school, such as Duke of Edinburgh and the Gamilaraay service learning trips to Northern NSW.
The program is designed so that all Year 10 students can participate and gain from the experience – especially in learning social, personal and leadership skills.
