ACT Schools Orienteering Team
Radford College fielded three representatives on the 18 member team that competed during the holidays at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships. They were Ian de Jongh (12TER) who competed in the Senior Boys category, Ryan Stocks (8SMH) who competed in the Junior Boys competition as a reserveand and Noah Poland (8DEL)
Overall ACT finished 3rd behind TAS (1st) and QLD (2nd), with all team members being fantastic ambassadors for their schools with some great individual and team results.
Noah went on to place 5th (4th Australian) in the individual competition, 2nd in the Individual Teams competition and 2nd in the relay. He was named in the Australian Schools Honour Team and selected in the Australian Schools Orienteering Team. He will travel to Tasmania in January to compete against NZ in the AUS-NZ Schools Test Match. These results follow on from Noah's excellent results in local ACT events this season, including overall winner in the ACT Metro Junior League competition for the season in M14, 4th in the ACT Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships in M14A and 2nd at the ACT Championships in M14A.
