Congratulations Australian National Eisteddfod participants

Over the weekend of 5-7 August, a number of talented Radford students were involved in the Australian National Eisteddfod (Singing Division).

Congratulations to the following students.*

  • Claire Graham, Year 10, placed 1st in three sections: ?Song from Music Theatre?, ?Popular Song Solo? and ?Any Song? and 2nd in the ? Song by Australian Composer or Folk Song? category.
  • Jackie McIntyre, Year 10, placed 2nd in the ?Any Song? section, received a Highly Commended in the ?Song from Music Theatre? section and also performed in the 'Song by Australian Composer or Folk Song' section.
  • Brianna Wiseman, Year 10, performed in the ?Any Song? and ?Song by Australian Composer or Folk Song? sections.
  • Katrina Wiseman, Year 12, competed in the ?Classical Song?, ?Folk Song or Song by Australian Composer? and ?Sacred Song? sections, as well as the ?Senior Duet? section with fellow Year 12 student Rena Li. Rena and Katrina achieved a Highly Commended in this section.
  • Holly Saunders, Year 8, performed in the ?Folk Song or Song by Australian Composer?, ?Popular Song Solo?, ?Song from Music Theatre? and ?Any Song? sections. She was awarded two 3rd places and a 2nd place.
  • Ashley Di Beradino, Year 12, performed in the ?Song from Music Theatre? and ' Popular Song Solo' sections.

*It is often difficult to gather complete lists of participants in activities engaged in outside of the College. At the time of publication, these are the only students we know to have participated in the Eisteddfod.
