Years 11 & 12 – Choosing a study pathway

The senior years are an important time and we support our students to develop the skills they’ll need to pursue their aspirations beyond secondary school.

The College offers three study pathways for students commencing their final two years at Radford:

  • the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) Tertiary (ATAR)
  • the BSSS Accredited (often includes vocational accreditation)
  • the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP)

The three brochures below contain information that will assist students in choosing their individual study pathway. We recommend that students and parents read and consider each one:

Tertiary admissions

Students who have engaged in a broad range of activities are more likely to have success at the tertiary level and continue to contribute to the broader community in a variety of ways.

The range of co-curricular and service learning offerings in which our students can participate can be found here.

It is becoming increasingly important for senior students to develop skills beyond the classroom and our experience is that this enhances academic performance.
