Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Awardees: Hannah Nutt, Patrick Hassall, Liam Braithwaite, Ruth Parsons, Laura Roden

By Sue Hassall, Coordinator of the Duke of Edinburgh?s Award at Radford

The Governor General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, recognised the achievements of five Radford students at a formal ceremony at Government House on Thursday 12 March 2015.

Hannah Nutt and Laura Roden (Year 12, 2015), Liam Braithwaite, Patrick Hassall (Year 12, 2014) and Ruth Parsons (Year 12, 2012) were presented with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh?s Awards.

These students have taken between three to five years to achieve their internationally recognised Gold Award. They have completed weekly commitments to a sport, service, developing a skill as well undertaking challenging expeditions and a residential program.

Radford College has over 100 students currently pursuing their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and I encourage them to keep striving towards, and completing, their goals.
