Rugby 1st XV - talking strategy, on the way to a 33-0 win over Tuggeranong

Term 3 Week 3

Rugby
1st XV, with Tim Robards as coach, had an amazing 33-0 win over Tuggeranong: Matthew Browning one try, Ethan Robards one try, Mitchell McKinnon two tries, and Dylan Fernando one try.  The boys were, justifiably, very pleased with the way they played against their larger opponents.

Football

The U13 & 14 NPLY teams continued their undefeated streaks since the resumption with the U13s recording a 1-1 draw and the U14s recording a 6-1 win over Gungahlin United FC over the weekend.

The U18 NPLY team held Gungahlin to a 2-2 draw – check out Ricky Luo’s awesome header goal from a corner in the picture above.

In the Junior League, the U14 Girls defeated Brindabella Blues FC 9-0 with 7 different goal scorers including a hattrick to Charlotte Heatley. The birthday girl, Gianna Ghirardello netted one and Emma Morey scored her first ever goal in only her 3rd ever Football match. Other goal scorers included the silky skilled Sohana Stannard, the speedy Zara Turner and Bonnie Hardy, and Scarlett Quaedvlieg with a long-range shot. The strikers were well supplied with some great balls by Martha Jennett, Lizzie Savio and Annette Lescinsky and Caitie Checksfield, Aditi Jakilet, Lara Parsons and Eve Truswell were unbeatable in defence.

The U16 Division 1 Girls continued their undefeated streak with a 1-0 win over Belnorth FC and the U16 Division 2 Open put 10 past Belwest Foxes SC to win 10-3 in an exciting game.
