Bon appetit! Year 11 French students conclude the year in a festive mode

Bon appetit! Year 11 French students conclude the year in a festive mode

By Rhiannon Richards, French Teacher

For the final double lesson of the Year 11 French course, we went to the wonderful Café Breizh at the Ainslie shops. Having studied the unit on Society and Community this semester, students were keen to put their knowledge to the test, in an authentic setting.

Students were able to order both savoury and sweet items in French, as well as appreciate the many cultural artefacts on display, from the region of Brittany. This was a fitting end to our studies, and a good way to send students off into their exam block.

Once again, we would like to thank our hosts, Bruno and Bronwyn, for their willingness to allow students to practise their French, and the swift arrival of the delicious food. Thank you also to Di Fitzpatrick for accompanying us, and Paul, for driving us.
