Rugby First XV – Match report: Radford vs St Edmunds, Saturday 20 August 2022
Radford 1st XV storms into semi-finals!
The march to premiership immortality continues for the Radford U18s as the team secured a finals berth by finishing the regular season comfortably in the top 4.

The stage is now set for a blockbuster semi-final versus St Edmund’s College, with whom the lads enjoyed a light hit-out on Saturday.

While it did not go unnoticed that St Eddies failed to keep the mighty Radford scoreless, the boys are not letting complacency take hold ahead of the sudden-death contest next Saturday (27 August), and so will not be doing any media before the match.

More (finals) rumblings next week…

Netball semi-finals
Congratulations and good luck to the following Radford Netball teams playing semi-finals this weekend:

  • Junior Dolphins
  • Intermediates – Orange
  • Intermediates – Red
  • Intermediates – Navy
  • Cadets Gold
  • Cadets Maroon
  • Cadets White.

Veterans (service personnel community) and families indoor rowing program

This is a four-session program designed to teach the ACT Veteran community about the indoor rowing machine (more commonly known as an “erg”), and the technique for using it. Most importantly, it is looking at building a strong, inclusive and inviting community.

The program is supported by ACT Government Veterans Grants and Rowing ACT and is completely free.

Sessions are facilitated by trained coaches and are open to members of the Australian Defence Force veteran community – this includes current and former serving members, and family and friends of these members.

At the end of the program, all participants are invited to join the weekly sessions to continue to build their skills, with opportunities for competition and to make new friends and connections.
