2022 U20 Men and Canberra Gunners Academy Trials

Basketball ACT will be conducting 2022 Trials for the U20 Men’s Team and Gunners Academy Program. Please see Trial details and the link for registration below.

Players born 2003 & 2004 are eligible for selection into the 2022 ACT U20 Men’s Representative team. Team preparation and selection for the U20 AJC, scheduled for late April/early May (dates to be confirmed) in Mackay, Qld, will be conducted within and concurrently with the Canberra Gunners Academy Team. Leading into the U20 Australian Junior Championships, there will be some 'stand-alone' training sessions and practice games.

The Canberra Gunners Academy Team largely targets players who are under 23 years of age. The Academy will compete in the NSW Waratah-1 League from 2022. This competition will meet Basketball ACT requirements for a stronger competition for our most talented young men, whilst also effectively underpinning the senior Canberra Gunners Team that will complete in the NBL-1 East from 2022.

U20M / Gunners Academy Trials will be held at Radford on the following dates and times:

  • Friday 26 November 6:45–8:45pm (open trial – mandatory participation)
  • Friday 3 December 6:45–8:45pm (invited trial)
  • Friday 10 December 6:45–8:45pm (invited trial).

Please note Trials 2 and 3 are by invitation only. A non-refundable Trials registration fee of $25 covers Radford court hire costs and the Basketball ACT administration fee.

Players wishing to trial for the 2022 ACT U20 Men’s and/or Gunners Academy Teams must register on the following link:
