Round two of the CISBC was held at Daramalan College on Thursday, 27 October. Radford 1st X Boys and 1st X Girls took on the mighty Burgmann Anglican School.

Daramalan set the atmosphere alight with player introductions including individual player videos and music that rivalled NBA team introductions.

The boys game commenced at 5:00 pm, and this proved to be an absolute thriller. From the start, the team’s cohesion, energy, and physicality was on another level. The lead of the game changed multiple times each quarter. Unfortunately, after a hard-fought 40 minutes, Radford 1st X Boys went down to Burgmann (57-64).

The Girls 1st X game commenced at 6:30 pm, and the girls dominated Burgmann with the full power of a full squad. The girls played a great game, running the legs off the Burgmann team to build a strong lead to win the game (81-32).

The final round is being held next Thursday, 3 November at home. Come on down to the Wigg Centre and cheer on the Boys' (5:00 pm) and Girls' (6:30 pm) teams as they take on Canberra Grammar School.

Cricket

For the first time this season, a full round of cricket fixtures took place last weekend. Eight out of the ten teams that played recorded victories. However, more importantly, there were several close fixtures that provided more learning opportunities than lopsided games. A special mention to the Girls and Stage 1 teams on Friday night, who braved freezing conditions throughout their games. Above is an early contender for ‘photo of the season’ from the Radford Renegades fixture on Friday night.
