Wastefree: Aim for 42 days

By Melinda Hamilton, Radford Tribal Council Coordinator

The RTC again is encouraging students to be wastefree and is running the ‘Aim for 42 Challenge’ in Term 4. There are 42 days school days for students this term and they’re being encouraged to be wastefree for all of them.

Such progress has been made over the years, and especially this year, with our attempts to have no rubbish at school. The RedCycle bins (for soft plastic waste) that the RTC have provided and emptied weekly in Term 3 have been helpful to ensure plastic items from lunch orders don’t end up in landfill also.

Thanks to everyone who is working hard to be waste free with nude food every day!
