Year 7-12 Boorer Foundation Scholarship Announced
The Radford Foundation is delighted to announce the financial support of the Boorer Foundation to provide a full six-year scholarship to a student commencing Year 7 at Radford College in 2020.
The scholarship will cover 100% of the Tuition and Capital Levy fees and up to 100% of compulsory College-related costs for six years (Years 7 through 12 inclusive).
The scholarship will be awarded to a new student who demonstrates outstanding achievement and community or sporting involvement, but whose personal circumstances prevent them from enrolling at Radford. The recipient will remain anonymous throughout their six years at Radford.
The Directors wish to thank the Foundation's Cornerstone Donors for their early support and generosity which will be recognised in perpetuity in the new Morison Centre building.
Donations of any amount are always welcomed by the Radford Foundation. The Foundation has three classes of substantial donation:
Bronze – one-off donation of $5,000 or a pledge of $1,000 per year for five years
Silver – one-off donation of $10,000 or a pledge of $2,000 per year for five years
Gold – one-off donation of $25,000 or a pledge of $5,000 per year for five years
Perpetual recognition of Cornerstone and substantial donors is under consideration and The Foundation Directors
expect to announce their plans for this in the coming months.
The Foundation operates three funds:
A Scholarship Fund – to award scholarships to students considered to have high academic potential but who are unable to attend the College due to economic circumstances. Donations to this fund are tax deductible.
A Major Projects Fund – to be used for major new buildings and development in alignment with the College Master Plan. Donations to this fund are tax deductible.
A General Fund – to be used for projects requiring funding including the purchase of equipment, recruitment of specialist staff, and enhancement to the academic and teaching programs not covered by tuition fees. This fund will gratefully accept bequests and is therefore not tax deductible.
