Radford Foundation

The Foundation was established to support the long-term advancement and development of the College’s educational programs and facilities, which are available to all students to help them reach their true potential.

The Foundation works closely alongside the College through the Radford College Board and the Principal. The Foundation is managed by a dedicated professional Board supported by the Foundation Administrator, Soňa Michalková, who can be contacted on 02 6162 6293 or foundation@radford.act.edu.au

Whilst the year of 2020 will not be forgotten too quickly with bushfires and COVID-19, the Foundation were very proud to be part of a community that banded together to continually deliver quality education to our students through such an uncertain period of time.

It was with this that the Foundation, whose principal purpose is to support education at the College, successfully provided a full two-year scholarship for a student commencing in Year 11 this year.

Towards the end of last year, we said farewell to the Class of 2020 that included our inaugural scholarship recipient from 2019. You can view Quoc Le’s journey here. As you can imagine, the Foundation Directors and the College were proud to witness this student complete his secondary education at Radford.

The College also announced a new sports precinct, which will include a new Multi-Function Hall with flexible interior between the College’s two ovals, six outdoor courts with lights and spectator seating, changerooms, toilets, storage space and relocated car parking.

An incredibly generous $4 million donation from the Boorer family to the Radford Foundation’s Building Fund will see the establishment of a world-class Cricket Centre with eight nets and administrative spaces. The centre will be designed to allow use by other sports and the wider school community.

2021 will be a year of continued growth for the Foundation as we meet to discuss the 2022 scholarship recipient and further our work with the Radford College Parents & Friends Association and Radford Collegians Association to launch a community “feel good” initiative - Radford Reaches IN.
