Author visit: Amelia McInerney

On 20 July, our Kindergarten students were delighted to meet local author Amelia McInerney. Amelia is the author of four picture books: My Bird Bertie, The Book Chook, The Bad Crab and Who Fed Zed?

Amelia read some of her books to the students, and even brought My Bird Bertie to life in an impromptu play. We all yelled loudly during the reading of The Book Chook that Ray the Chook should stay in the book. At the end of the session, the students asked some excellent questions about what it is like to be an author.
