Celebrating Book Week
By Gemma Wilson and Rachael Hind, JS Teacher Librarians
Celebration of Book Week – Friday 27 August
Book Week may look very different in 2021 but we are still encouraging everyone to dress up.
How do students get involved?
- Students are encouraged to dress up in their costumes any day this week (before Friday) and have a photo taken.
- Send your photo to jslibrary@radford.act.edu.au, including your child’s name in the subject line.
Think simple. Perhaps it is a hat or head piece. It might just be a photo of you reading your favourite book. Perhaps it is a special t-shirt or maybe a full costume. We can’t wait to see! Think creatively and re-use what you already have, as much as possible.
As well as sharing a few now in this Bulletin article, we will share photos in our Celebration of Book Week Video on Friday morning. Details of this will be sent from class teachers later in the week. You will be able to view photos of other students, see some great costumes and find out about the books that have won this year.
If you have any questions, please ask the JS Library team.
