Collegian News: LTCOL Peta Mantel, AM

Congratulations Lieutenant Colonel (LTCOL) Peta Mantel (Class of 1990). This week, LTCOL Mantel was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) (Military Division) in this this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List, and included on the new COVID-19 Honour Roll. Peta's role as a clinical epidemiologist during the COVID-19 pandemic has been to lead the team of epidemiologists in the Commonwealth Health Department National Incident Room.

In January 2021, the Australian Government announced that, commencing with the Queen's Birthday 2021 Honours List, individuals recognised for their contribution, service or achievement relating to COVID-19 would feature on a dedicated COVID-19 Honour Roll, as well as the official Australian honours database.
