In the spotlight

By Mr Dylan Mordike, Director of Student Experiences

Since its inception, Radford College's purpose has always been "to build a school which strives for excellence without elitism, and a school where there is care for every individual and where there is genuine pride in achievement but never arrogance." These are the words of Founding Principal Jock Mackinnon.

He understood that one way to ensure there was genuine care for every student was to complement what occurred in the classroom with opportunities to build connections outside of it.

Camps push students beyond their comfort zones

Radford College's co-curricular program is a vital component of a well-rounded education. It complements academic learning by providing students with opportunities to explore interests, develop skills and engage in activities that enhance their personal growth alongside their teachers. The role of Director of Student Experiences oversees and develops our co-curricular program, outdoor education program and provides oversight of national and international trips and tours.

Our co-curricular and outdoor education programs are integral to the overall educational experience at Radford, promoting personal, academic and social development. They provide students with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, build essential life skills and prepare for future academic and career paths.

By encouraging participation in a range of activities, we help create well-rounded individuals who are not only academically capable but also emotionally intelligent, socially responsible and prepared for success in a complex world. There are a multitude of experiences on offer for our students to embrace. I encourage them to get out there and explore them.
