Spring is the time of year where the flowers bloom, the crops begin to peek out from the earth, and Mother Nature

Daffodils

reminds us how wonderful it is to be outside. Over the past couple of years, COVID has impacted how spring has looked to many of us. This year is shaping up to be a little different.

When students and staff in the Junior School were asked what they were looking forward to as spring arrives, smiles broadened and eyes lit up. This is what they said:

  • I am looking forward to spring because Floriade is on and this year I am old enough to go on the rides. — Amyra
  • I’m looking forward to seeing my lemon tree growing. — Jeremy
  • I am looking forward to seeing more of the sun and the warmer weather. I also can’t wait to see the blossoms on the trees outside Kindergarten. — Mrs Granger
  • I like spring because all the baby animals are born. — Anabelle
  • I can’t wait for my lizard to wake up. — Austin
  • I am looking forward to seeing the blooming flowers and smelling them all. — Oliver, Darren & Georgia
  • I can’t wait to swim in my pool. — Walter
  • Going to the school fete and seeing all the butterflies. — Abby
  • I can’t wait to wear shorter sleeves and wearing new clothes. — Georgia and Chloe
  • I can’t wait to open all of the doors and windows in my house. — Mrs Maggs

As we near the end of Term 3 and the September/ October holidays approach, what will you do to celebrate and embrace spring?
