Nexus launching soon

In coming weeks, Radford is planning to launch our new intranet and portal – Nexus.

Over the next few editions of the Bulletin, we will be focusing on different aspects of Nexus to familiarise you with the portal before it launches.

Today’s article looks at what parents and caregivers need to know about Nexus.

What does this mean for me?

Your Radford Online account will be replaced with a Nexus account. Your username and password will remain the same.

How will I access Nexus?

Nexus will be accessible via the Radford website, and this will offer a comprehensive portal experience. Once Nexus is launched to the whole community, you will be able to access the link to the Nexus app (soon to be available in the Apple and Google app stores) which can be installed on your smartphone.

Website:

You will be able to find the Nexus tab at the top right of the Radford homepage (where the Community Portal tab currently sits). See screenshot below. This will replace the current Community Portal page, and resources for parents including uniform, canteen, OSHC, term dates and calendar will be available inside Nexus.

What information will Nexus provide?

Nexus replaces Radford Online and will be the College's main platform for Radford information.

In Term 4, 2021, Nexus will provide:

  • news (including a refocused Bulletin)
  • student information such as timetables and year-group specific news and information
  • co-curricular information
  • details of Radford community events, including whole-College, Foundation and P&F events.

In Term 1, 2022, Nexus will be updated to incorporate a new Learning Management System (LMS), replacing SEQTA. More information will be shared with families at the start of next year.

Next week’s article will provide more detail on the Nexus portal and the Nexus app.
