Our fabulous fete!
From Lisa McPherson, P&F President
After a couple of years of absence due to COVID, the Radford Twilight fete was held on the weekend to great success. And the weather was perfect for a fete!
Despite the absence of the big rides, due to a lack of ride providers and their insurance woes, the fete forged ahead with some new additions such as the Virtual Reality ride, Rock Climbing Wall, Pony Rides, Beer Garden and food vans. The usual stalls such as the secondhand clothing, uniform shop, sweet and sticky, and ‘lob a choc’ remained popular, and it was lovely to see some Community Stalls in the TB Millar Hall as well.
This day would not have been possible without the hard-working P&F Committee who have given up their own time over the past six months:
- Fete Convener, Mari Kirkpatrick
- Community Organiser, Monique Glavonjic
- President, Lisa McPherson
- P&F Committee: Nat Talbot, Edward Eyers, Shan Southwell, Nicola Gibson, Sarah Watts, Jade Carson and Irene Shaw.
Thank you also to Cam Sullings, who year after year does an amazing job as our MC, and to the scores of volunteers who helped set up, run, and clean up the fete.
The Radford P&F Committee would love to hear your (anonymous) feedback to make next year’s event even better! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RadfordFete2022Feedback

We thank our talented Radford College student concert and jazz bands who played throughout the afternoon.
