Parent presentation with Maree Crabbe
Parents are invited to attend a webinar on pornography, young people and sexuality, with educator, author and filmmaker Maree Crabbe.
The session will be held on Thursday, 5 August at 7pm.
Pornography has become a parenting issue we can’t afford to ignore. For young people growing up online, pornography is almost impossible to avoid. Consumption – particularly for young men – has become normalised. Pornography has become default sex educator, with serious implications for young people’s capacity to navigate a sexuality that is respectful, safe, mutual and consenting.
Maree Crabbe is Director of the Australian violence prevention project It’s time we talked. Maree is passionate about supporting parents, schools, communities and government to address pornography’s influence on young people.
Due to the current border restrictions, we are offering this presentation through Microsoft Teams as an online webinar, with parents joining from home.
Parents will have received an email containing the link to register for this event from their child’s Head of Year. Please contact your child’s Head of Year if you have not received this link.
You will receive details on accessing the session once you have registered.
