ACT 12&U Athletics
14 Radford students qualified for the ACT 12&U Athletics Carnival that was held on Thursday 8 September.
Congratulations to the following students who finished in the top 3:
- Patrick Maundrell – 1st 10 Years Boys 1500m, 2nd 10 Years Boys 800m
- Alexander Fillingham – 1st 10 Years Boys 1500m, 2nd 12 Years Boys 800m
- Sebastian Costanzo – 1st 10 Years Boys Long Jump
- Lachlan Stevens – 3rd 11 Years Boys Long Jump
Basketball finals
The end of Week 8 marked the conclusion of the Winter Basketball Program.
Four Junior League teams made the grand finals: Girls U14 D2 Rave, Girls U14 D5 Panthers, Girls U19 D3 Breakers and the Boys U19 D3 Giants. Congratulations to all the students and coaches of these teams for making it to the grand finals.
Two Junior Premier League teams made the semi-finals: Girls U14 Suns and Girls U12 Kookaburras. Congratulations to all students and coaches of these teams for making the semi-finals.
Congratulations to the Boys U19 D3 Giants and Girls U14 D5 Panthers for winning the grand final!
Football finals
Congratulations to the U18 Girls Football team who won their grand final 3–0 on Saturday after an undefeated season, and to the U13 Open Division 2 Football team who were runners-up.
Good luck to the U16 & 18 NPL Football teams who are playing preliminary finals on Saturday:
- U16 v Canberra Olympic FC, 11:00am kick off at Kaleen Enclosed Oval
- U18 v Belconnen United FC, 2:00pm kick off at Kaleen Enclosed Oval
Netball grand finals
Two Year 7 teams came away with grand final wins over the weekend, with the Red team winning Div. 6 Inters and the Navy team winning Div. 8 Inters in the NCNC competition.
