CANBERRA INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS BASKETBALL COMPETITION

Radford Men's Basketball Team
Radford Men's Basketball Team

Round one of the competitions kicked off on Thursday, 20 October, with a significant amount of passion from all teams, and a very loud and patriotic crowd at Canberra Grammar School.

This new, three-round, college-versus-college competition sees the players hit the court with pride and determination for their respective schools.

In round one, Radford was up against Daramalan College. Our women’s team - with only two substitutes due to Year 9 Camp - pushed the Daramalan team all the way into the fourth quarter but, unfortunately, did not have enough to secure the win (36-47). The men’s game was no different – Radford fought hard all the way but was outpowered by Daramalan in the end (29-42).

For round two on Thursday, 27 October, our Radford teams will travel to Daramalan College to play Burgmann Anglican School. Please come and support our two teams:

  • Men’s game - 5 pm
  • Women’s game - 6.30 pm

One for your diary - Radford College will host the third and final round of the competition on Thursday, 3 November. We would love to see as many Radford students, staff, and families join us to support our men’s and women’s teams take on Canberra Grammar School at 5 pm and 6.30 pm in the Wigg Sports Centre.
