Snowy Mountains Interschools Equestrian Competition

By Cynara Yates, Year 10 student

From Thursday to Sunday, 4-7 May, eight Radford students competed in the Snowy Mountains Interschools Equestrian Competition at Equestrian Park in Yarralumla.

The riders included Hannah MacCallum (Year 5), Loretta Dal Bon (Year 3), Madison Musladin (Year 7), Sofia Dal Bon (Year 8), Charlotte Alexander (Year 9), Miranda Hadlow (Year 10), Cynara Yates (Year 10) and Nicola French (Year 10).

The competition consisted of many equestrian events, including show jumping, dressage, working horse, sporting and hacking. It was a very enjoyable event, with many Radford riders doing well and taking away placings in various classes. All the riders had a great time representing Radford. Horse riding has brought the competitors together as a Radford community, and they look forward to future events as a team.
