Squid Game: warnings and recommendations

With our upcoming return to school for all year groups, we would like to raise awareness of some broader community concerns regarding the enormously popular Netflix series Squid Game. In particular, these concerns relate to the influence that has been noted in some schools on children's play activities and playground games.

The Cyber Safety Project, for which Radford Junior School has a subscription and through which teachers are able to integrate relevant and age-appropriate cyber safety lessons, has prepared a great review and series of recommendations for parents and teachers. The article highlights the risks, but also provides some useful tips to assist in conversations and management of children's engagement with the content, both directly and indirectly.
