The Principal
Christopher Bradbury
BEd (Secondary Education: Humanities and Social Sciences), MEd, MACEL, MAICD, MACE, HFTG
Christopher Bradbury joined Radford College as Principal in January 2025, bringing with him a deep passion for education and a proven record of inspiring students and staff to reach their full potential.
A dedicated educator and leader, Chris has spent his career helping schools across New South Wales and beyond strengthen teaching, learning and student wellbeing. Known for his collaborative approach and genuine care for his school communities, he has led initiatives that have lifted academic outcomes and created inclusive, supportive environments for students to thrive.
Chris began his career as a history and legal studies teacher before moving into school leadership. Most recently, he was Principal of Northholm Grammar in Sydney, where he introduced innovative academic and character development programs, guided the School to record enrolment growth and helped position Northholm among the Top 50 Schools in NSW.
Prior to Northholm, Chris held senior leadership roles including Director of Teaching and Learning at The King’s School and Head of Administration at Hurlstone Agricultural High School.
Chris’ commitment to academic excellence is reflected in his impressive qualifications. He holds a bachelor and master’s degree in education from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard University. Committed to continuous learning, Chris also completed the High Performance Leadership Programme and Strategic Leadership Programme at the Saiid Business School, University of Oxford, as well as Harvard’s Achieving Excellence Leadership Program for Principals. He is a graduate of The Australian Schools Leading Teachers Colloquium and the AIS Leadership Centre Flagship Program.
His leadership and contributions to education have been recognised through numerous prestigious awards. Most recently, Chris received an Honorary Fellowship Award from the Teacher’s Guild of New South Wales, exemplifying his integrity, service and transformative leadership in Australian education. He was also awarded a NSW Quality Teaching Excellence Award by the NSW State Government in recognition of outstanding teaching practice and the ACEL ‘New Voice’ Scholarship in School Leadership for excellence in educational leadership and reform. Chris was a recipient of both the Gandel Holocaust Studies Program for Australian Educators Scholarship and the NSW Premiers Westfield’s History Teacher’s Scholarship.
What inspires me most is seeing students grow into compassionate, confident young people. At Radford, we are intentional about balancing academic rigour with care and wellbeing. That’s what makes this community truly special.
